Backyard Barbecue Fundraiser

Independent Living, Inc.’s Backyard BBQ fundraiser held on Sunday, June 5th at Thomas Bull Memorial Park was a huge success, raising over $2,500 to support programs and services for people with disabilities. Over 200 guests attended and enjoyed balloon animals, face painting, kickball, beach ball volley ball and other games. Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU) employee volunteers decorated and helped with parking and games. Eric Rassin (DJ Razz), also a HVFCU volunteer, provided lively music, and Larry Siegel, joined the festivities later in the afternoon with his guitar and vocals that inspired some spontaneous line dancing to add to the fun. The basket raffle was another highlight, rivaled only by the pie-throwing contest. Thank you to all who donated their time, talent and treasure!
